Meenakshi India Fixes October 30 Record Date for 1:2 Stock Split

Meenakshi India has set October 30, 2026, as the record date for its 1:2 stock split, reducing the face value from Rs. 10 to Rs. 5 per share. The move aims to improve liquidity and broaden retail investor participation.

Meenakshi (India) Limited has fixed Friday, October 30, 2026, as the record date for its equity share sub-division, under which each fully paid-up equity share with a face value of Rs. 10 will be split into two fully paid-up equity shares with a face value of Rs. 5 each.

The company, listed on the BSE under code 544831 and symbol MEEIND, and on the Calcutta Stock Exchange under code 23128, announced the decision following its Board of Directors' approval of the record date for the proposed stock split.

The sub-division is aimed at improving the liquidity of the company's equity shares and making them more affordable, potentially encouraging greater participation from retail investors and expanding its shareholder base. The Board believes the move is in the best interests of the company and its shareholders.

Under the arrangement, shareholders holding shares on the record date will receive two shares for every share held before the sub-division. For instance, an investor holding 100 equity shares with a face value of Rs. 10 each will hold 200 equity shares with a face value of Rs. 5 each after the split. The number of shares will increase, while the face value per share will decrease from Rs. 10 to Rs. 5. Shareholders' proportionate ownership in the company will remain unchanged.
